Windows 7 regedit tweaks

Run with gadgets in Windows 7 with UAC disabled.

Få din sidebar og gadgets til at virke med UAC slået fra.If you have removed UAC in Windows 7 you have probably experienced problems with your sidebar and gadgets, in Windows 7 UAC and Sidebar and gadgets are connected, if you remove UAC there is a good chance that your gadgets no longer works. In this post we teach you how to avoid this by using the regedit.

 

step 1 The only thing you have to alter is a string in the Windows 7 regristry.
Step 2Open Windows 7 registry by pressing Windows button + R, now write 'regedit' and press OK.
Step 3Navigato to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Sidebar\Setting and alter the value in AllowElevatedProcess to 1.
Step 4Restart the computer and your problem is now fixed.
