1. Go to the menu Start -> Controlpanel -> User Account and Family Security -> User Control. B. Click on the User Account Control settings link.

User Account Control has been altered in Windows 7, to make UAC less annoying. In Windows 7 the UAC has a slidebar that gives users the possibility to configure and pick a certain level of security.
