Hi thanks for the handy tip, it works well, except that MP3's still launch in the 32 bit version of media player. I have tested opening 64 bit media player first then opening an mp3 from there, and sure enough it plays fine in there, but opening an mp3 from anywhere else makes it run in 32 bit mode. I have searched the registry, and changed all references of "C
rogram Files (x86)Windows Media Playerwmplayer.exe" to "C rogram FilesWindows Media Playerwmplayer.exe", but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Windows 7 still uses the 32 bit version of 'Windows Media Player' even though you run a x64 build of Windows 7, there is however a way to change this and there are som advantages by doing so, among others you will be able to use your 64 bit video codecs instead of 32 bit, so you will be able to use your 64 processor.
