Disable Search indexing for better performance

Stop search indexing in Windows 7 If you know where your files are stored and never really use the search function, stop this service and you will gain a significant performance boost in Windows 7.

Click on the Start button and type in “services.msc”
Find and right click the “Windows Search” and click properties
In the startup type field choose “Disabled”
Reboot your computer and you are done.
