Download Windows 7 build 7022According to the My Digital Life blog a new version of Windows 7 has been leaked on different P2P networks and it is now possible to download the new release. The new version of Windows 7 is called ’7022.winmain.090115-1850’ and the download has a size of 2.47 GB.

Final versions of Windows 7.In a recent briefing Microsoft Senior Vice President Bill Veghte and Paul Thurrot explained their choice of versions for Windows 7. As expected we will receive almost as many versions of Win-dows 7 as we did of Windows Vista. There are however some significant changes that are worth mentioning.

Windows 7 newsThe release of the public build of Windows 7 has made quite an impact on the market shares of operative systems; according to new figures Windows 7 has a total market share of 0.1%. This is quite impressive for an operating system not even nearly done and if you compare to the market share held in December, the figure gets even more impressive. In December last year, Windows 7 had an official market share of 0.01% compared to Januarys 0.10, quite a boost for an operating system yet to be released.

Microsoft Windows 7According to the official Windows 7 engineering blog the next edition of Windows 7 that will be released is the so called Release Candidate, this means we are very close to the final product, as it is the last release before the final RTM. According to rumors we will see an early April release of the Release Candidate edition and the final RTM should according to our sources be released in the third quarter of 2009 and then to the public in the fourth quarter of 2009. So look forward to this christmas as you can put this fine piece of software on your wishing list.
