<description>I would love to try this but when I finally got into safe mode, nothing changed. I created the file anyway since at an angle with a bright light on I can see enough to get to notebook and create the file. However, I cannot find the start menu or the startup folder. There is no path that matches the one you name in this solution. I have windows 7. Obviously I am on another computer to post this. It is really annoying because we bought this laptop for my son's promotion to middle school and he has only had it about 1 week. He absolutely loved it until this happened. It is an ASUS CHOCOLATE model K50IJ-BNC5. If anyone has any other suggestions other than removing the battery and holding the power button down (I did that 3 or 4 times with no success), I am all ears.
Thanks.
P.S.
If I don't get an answer I am just going to return the computer and get another one instead.
